Hearts Of Oak resumes training next week for new season

The Ghana Premier League is tentatively scheduled to start next month after the president announced the resumption of football

Accra Hearts of Oak are set to begin training on Monday, September 28, 2020, ahead of the upcoming season.

According to Kumasi-based OTEC FM, the Ghanaian giants have informed their players to report to the team’s base on Sunday, September 27, 2020, to start preparations ahead of the 2020/21 league season on Monday 28th September.

The report further disclosed that the players and the technical team will go through a mandatory COVID-19 test before they start a full-scale training session.

This follows after the president of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo lifted the ban on contact Sports during his 17th nation address on the Coronavirus on Sunday, September 20, 2020.

Football activities were suspended seven months ago due to the novel Coronavirus breakout.

A tentative date of Friday, October 30, 2020, has been pencilled for the start of the 2020-2021 season.
