Hearts of Oak request for postponement of GPL game against Gold Stars after mystery bug hit Phobians camp

Hearts of Oak want their Ghana Premier League matchweek 29 fixture against Bibiani Gold Stars postponed.

This comes after several Players of the defending Ghana Premier League champions could be “out of action” as a mystery illness hit the Phobians camp, according to Yaw Ampofo Ankrah of Max TV.

Information coming out of the Phobian base is that about 15 of their first team players and a number of senior coaching staff have been hospitalized with a mystery illness and showing similar symptoms after their MTN FA Cup semi-final game against Dreams FC last Sunday.

Players such as Caleb Amankwah, Sulley Muntari, Suraj Seidu, Daniel Banieh Afriyie , Gladson Awako among others have been affected.

No word yet on the exact ailments but it is expected Hearts intend to request for the postponement of their week 29 GPL game on Wednesday against Goldstars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
