Hearts of Oak in talks to sign Gold Stars midfielder Owusu Banahene

Stephen Owusu Banahene, the talented midfielder of Bibiani Goldstars, has confirmed that he is currently engaged in discussions with the renowned Ghanaian club, Hearts of Oak, regarding a potential transfer.

Hearts of Oak is actively searching for a skilled and high-quality midfielder to bolster their squad for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.

The club has reportedly identified Banahene as the ideal candidate to complement their team and enhance their performance in the new season.

In an interview with Kessben FM, Banahene revealed, “Hearts of Oak have shown interest in me, and we are in talks, but we have yet to agree on the terms of the transfer. Both parties are still negotiating, and the discussions are ongoing. I believe Hearts of Oak can excel in the next season if they assemble a strong team and appoint a capable coach, and this motivates me to consider joining them.”

Banahene, who is currently 28 years old, joined Bibiani Goldstars in February 2023 and played a crucial role in helping the club secure a commendable 5th position on the Ghana Premier League table in the last season.
