Hearts of Oak-Eleven Wonders outstanding GPL clash set for June 8

Hearts of Oak’s outstanding Ghana Premier League match-day 30 fixture against Eleven Wonders has been scheduled for June 8, 2022 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.

The Phobians were earlier billed to face the Techiman based side on May 23 but the game was postponed following a recommendation from the Ghana Health Service over an outbreak of influenza among the Hearts of Oak players.

Hearts, which occupy the 4th spot on the GPL table with 47 points from 29 games, need a crucial victory against mid-table Karela United in their match-day 31 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, to delay the confirmation of Asante Kotoko as league champions.

If Hearts of Oak win against Karela, the Porcupines will need just three points from their remaining four games to seal the GPL title. Asante Kotoko also has an outstanding league game against AshantiGold on June 2, before facing Great Olympics, relegated Elmina Sharks and Accra Lions.
