Hearts issue warning to Qatari club over Kofi Kordzi

1 min read

Accra Hearts Of Oak have fired a warning to Qatari side Muaither Sporting Club asking them to desist from dealing directly with Kofi Kordzi.

According to reports monitored on Oyerepa FM, the Ghanaian giants wrote to the Doha-based side on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 to warm the side that they could report them to Fifa and should therefore halt their engagements with the player in order not to be cited for inducement charges.

Muaither Sporting Club bypassed Hearts Of I Oak and sent a letter to the 25-year-old striker requesting him to trek to Doha on September 6, 2020, for medical, physical and technical examination before negotiating his personal terms for a one-year deal.

Muaither SC had earlier proposed a $150,000 transfer fee and 20% onward transfer to Hearts through a Ghanaian intermediary, but the hierarchy of the Phonians rejected and suggested they increase the amount to $200,000 and maintain the 20% onward transfer fee or be paid the $150,000 offer and increase the onward transfer fee to 30%.

However, Hearts did not receive any response from the club again only to discover that they are dealing with Kofi Kordzi.

The behaviour of the officials of Muaither SC angered Hearts hence the decision to warn them to deal with the club directly rather than the player.
