Former Hasaacas Ladies player, Grace Asantewaa has completed a two-year deal with Real Betis Feminas.
The Black Queens midfielder becomes the first major signing of the Spanish Primera Division.
“Real Betis Féminas and the player Grace Asantewaa have reached an agreement for the incorporation of the midfielder, who thus becomes the first signing of the Verdiblanco team for the 2021/22 financial year.
“The footballer born in Ghana (12/05/2000) arrives from EDF Logroño and signs for two seasons,” the Spanish club announced in a statement.
After series of conversations with the club’s technical team, Asantewaa agreed to move to the Spanish topflight side and believes the move will help blossom her talent.
“I had the opportunity to speak with the coach and I think the coach was happy to have me here and I’m also happy to be in the Betis team and I will make sure I will do all I can so far as I am here now to help the team win.
“I think this is a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent and will do my best to help the club,” she said in her unveiling video.
Grace Asantewaa had a stint with Hasaacas Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the Ghana Women’s Premier League in the past before moving to Spain to sign for EDF Logroño.
