GPL: Match Report – Bibiani Gold Stars pip Medeama at Dun’s Park

Bibiani Gold Stars moved up the Ghana Premier League log after Week 19 following their narrow home win against Medeama SC on Independence Day.

The home side needed an early goal at the start of the second half as Owusu Stephen Kaakyire scored in the 48th minute.

Gold Stars could have taken the lead in the first half, but a former player of the visitors Prince Opoku Agyemang failed to convert from the spot.

The Yellow and Mauves improved their game but was not enough to pull parity as they picked another defeat.

The defeat is the sixth of the season for Medeama.

Gold Stars travel to leaders Asante Kotoko next in week 20 whilst Medeama play at home against struggling Eleven Wonders.
