“God will even punish me if I advise Afriyie Barnieh to stay at Hearts” – Fatawu Mohammed

Outgoing Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed claims that if he counsels Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to remain in the club, he will incur God’s wrath.

The FA Cup champions’ desire to have Daniel Afriyie Barnieh sign a contract extension has the Phobians worried.

Barnieh, whose contract expired on December 17 is yet to renew his deal with a chunk of clubs chasing him for his services.

Speaking in an interview with Sports Obama TV, Fatawu Mohammed, who played with Afriyie Barnieh at the club, stated that God will never forgive him if he ever advises his teammate to stay with the club.

“I will not advise Afriyie to stay at Hearts of Oak. God will even punish me for that, Afriyie is my son but I will not advise him to stay God will not even forgive me, ” Fatawu Mohammed told Sports Obama TV.

He noted that the management and board at Hearts of Oak lack creative ideas when it comes to football business, which explains why it misses out on important transfer deals.

“The management doesn’t understand business, or they don’t do business, and they have no plans for the players, trumoured bitter,” he added.

After years of leading the Phobians, Fatawu Mohammed is rumored to have been released by Hearts of Oak.
