The 23-year-old nimble footed midfielder has completed his loan switch with the Belgian Pro League side with an option of making the deal permanent if he excels at the end of the current league campaign

Belgian Jupiler Pro League side RSC Anderlecht have announced the loan signing of Ghana international mdfielder Majeed Ashimeru from Austrian Bundesliga side RB Salzburg with an option of making the deal permanent at the end of the season.

The talented midfielder passed his medical before putting pen to paper on the deal with the Lotto Park outft earlier today.

RSC Anderlecht sporting director Peter Verbeke was full of encomium for the 23-year-old ballplaying midfielder as he exudes confidence ahead of his loan spell in the Pro League campaign for the rest of the 2020/21 football season.

“Majeed is a young, versatile midfielder with a lot of verticality in his game. He was schooled withing the Red Bull philosophy, meaning his profile matches what we look for in a player. On top of that, Majeed has a good acceleration and he loves to infiltrate,” Verbeke told the club’s official website.

“Even more importantly, Majeed really wanted to come to Anderlecht, and we negotiated an option to buy the player, which gives us a perspective on a long term collaboration.”

The Purple and White will be coughing up 2.5 million euros for the permanent signing of the former WAFA talisman at the end of the league season.

Ashimeru has a contract with Red Bull Salzburg until the summer of 2024 — the Ghanaian international has previously been loaned out to Austria Lustenau, St. Gallen and Wolfsberger AC.

RSC Anderlecht already have Ghanaian duo Mohammed Dauda and Francis Amuzu in their fold.
