Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil makes Belgian Pro League Team of the Season

Joseph Paintsil, the dynamic Ghanaian forward, has received recognition for his outstanding performances in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League during the 2022/23 season. The 25-year-old player, representing KRC Genk, has been voted as one of the top players in the league.
Paintsil’s impressive contributions saw him score 17 goals and provide 12 assists in the league, playing a vital role in Genk’s qualification for the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League. His exceptional form propelled Genk’s campaign, with the team contending for the title until the final game of the season, ultimately secured by Royal Antwerp in the play-offs.
Joseph Paintsil’s remarkable achievements have earned him a spot in the Best XI of the 2022/23 season in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. Alongside him, Ivorian forward Simon Adingra is the only other African player included in this distinguished team.
Furthermore, Paintsil’s impressive performances have earned him a place in the Ghanaian squad for the upcoming 2024 AFCON qualifier against Madagascar, which is scheduled to take place later this month.
