Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa thrash Togo women’s national team in pre-season friendly

Newly crowned Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies has secured their first pre-season win as they prepare ahead of their maiden Women’s CAF Champions League participation.

Ampem Darkoa recorded a resounding 3-0 victory over Togolese women’s side Les Èperviers in Togo on Friday evening.

A brace from Elizabeth Owusua and one from Constance Agyemang ensured they triumphed over their Togolese opponents.

Ampem Darkoa had a good start to the game, despite enjoying the larger portion of possession but failed to capitalise on the chances created to end the first stanza barren.

Back from recess, Darkoa Ladies gave the hosts a run for their money with intense pressure.

Fast forward, Elizabeth Owusu gave the Ghanaian side the deserved lead in the 74th minute.

She doubled the lead to register her second on the 81st minute before Constance Agyemang rounded up the third goal in the 87th minute for the lads.

Ampem Darkoa won the Women’s League title and FA Cup after beating arch-rivals Hasaacas Ladies days ago.
