GFA announce date for Black Stars World Cup final squad announcement

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has finally disclosed the date for the announcement of the Black Stars’ final squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

According to the GFA, coach Otto Addo will announce his final squad list for the Mundial at the MultiChoice office in Accra on Monday, November 14, 2022, at exactly 11AM.

Otto Addo is expected to name a 26-man squad from the preliminary 55-man squad which was released by the Ghana Football Association last Friday.

The 26 players will leave for Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for the final preparations on November 14 where the Black Stars will play Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly on November 17 before heading to Qatar.

Ghana have been housed in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The Black Stars will begin the World Cup campaign against Portugal before playing South Korea and Uruguay.
