Friendly: Asante Kotoko hosts Next Generation Football Academy today

Asante Kotoko will play lower-tier side, Next Generation Football Academy in a low profile friendly today (Wednesday, April 14, 2021) as they continue preparations for their next premier league game against Great Olympics.
The training match will be played at the team’s training grounds, Adako Jachie Training Complex at 2 pm local time.
The game will offer coach Mariano Barreto an opportunity to continue to sharpen all rough edges in the squad to ensure they can properly compete in the ongoing season.
He will also use the practice match to test fringe players in the squad.
The encounter will also allow the technical team to try out some different tactics as the season gets tougher.
Kotoko will travel to play Great Olympics in Accra in a matchday 20 fixture of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Olympics secured a 1-0 victory in the first round which led to the sacking of Maxwell Konadu.
Kotoko currently leads the league log with 33 points after 19 games.
