Frederick Ansah Botchway leaves Hearts of Oak for FC Samartex

Newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side, FC Samartex 1996 have secured the services of Frederick Ansah Botchway from Hearts of Oak.

The 25-year-old has penned a two-year contract with the Timber giants ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Hearts of Oak in a release prior to the start of their pre-season activities indicated that the former Liberty Professionals is surplus to requirements.

He becomes the latest addition to FC Samartex 1996’s strategic signings after securing the services of Larry Sumaila Ibrahim, Richard Baidoo, Kofi Baah, Emmanuel Acquah, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Gabriel Bonnah and Seidu Abubakar.

The Samreboi-based side will be hoping to retain their Premier League status going into the new season.

They got promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight after winning the 2022/23 Division One Zone Two league.
