Former Medeama and AshantiGold striker Hans Kwofie tragically died in a car accident at Dadwen on Friday.

The 35-year-old was en route to his hometown of Dompim Pepesa when his car was involved in a crash, resulting in his immediate death at Dadwen, a nearby town.

Although details are unclear, Footydreamsgh.com has learned that the former Legon Cities and Aduana Stars striker died in a horrific manner on Friday, June 21, 2023.

Kwofie had been without a club since Medeama released him in August 2023, having struggled to make an impact upon returning to his boyhood club.

The striker had an impressive career in the Ghanaian mining town of Obuasi, excelling with AshantiGold, the three-time Premier League champions.

He won the Premier League top scorer award in 2017 and also played for other Ghanaian clubs, including Legon Cities and Aduana Stars.
