FIFA U-17 WWCQ: Black Maidens secure big win over Guinea in Conakry

On Saturday afternoon at the Stade Général Lansana Conté de Nongo in Conakry, the Black Maidens of Ghana defeated Guinea 3-1 in the first leg of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2022 qualifier.

In the 13th minute, captain Georgina Ayisha Aoyem put the visitors ahead, while Rassheeda Shahadu scored the second goal for the maidens in the 31st minute with her strong left foot.

The Guineans cut the score in half after the break in the 53rd minute, but the visitors maintained their two-goal advantage with Mariama Maltiti’s goal in the 59th minute.

Coach Baba Nuhu’s team will host the Guineans in Ghana for the third round’s return match
