FIFA set new date for Ghana vs Nigeria 2022 World Cup playoff

The world football governing body, FIFA has fixed a new date for Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers playoffs against Nigeria which is set to come on late next month.

Initially, the two-legged tie were scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 24, and Sunday, March 27, 2022 respectively but has just faced an imminent changeHowever, Ghana will now host Nigeria in the first leg at the usual Cape Coast Stadium which has been their home grounds right from day one of the qualifiers on Friday, March 25, 2022.

The return encounter will also come off on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Mashood Abiola National Stadium in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.The winner of this round will seal a qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted by Qatar.
