FC Sheriff midfielder Mudasiru Salifu earns Black Stars call-up for 2022 World Cup

FC Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder, Mudasiru Salifu has been named n the Black Stars provisional squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar whistartsart later this month.
The 25-year-old combative midfielder earned his maiden the Black Star’s call-up on Friday when Otto Addo announced the preliminary squad for the Mundial.
Salifu has been invited by Black Stars coach Otto Addo following his extraordinary performance for FC Sheriff in the Moldova top-flight league.
The former Asante Kotoko midfielder has been exceptional for FC Sheriff since joining the club from Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko in July, 2022.
Salifu has played twenty matches for FC Sheriff in all competitions this season and has been instrumental in the team’s UEFA Europa league.
Meanwhile, the 55 players on the Black Stars provisional squad are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi for final preparations for the World Cup in November 14 where Ghana will play Switzerland in a friendly match on November 17.
Otto Addo will settle on the the final 26-man squad for the tournament which starts from November 20 to December 18.
