Asante Kotoko midfielder, Fabio Gama on Tuesday morning left Kumasi to depart to his homeland Brazil.

The attacking midfielder after exhausting his contract with the Ghanaian champions refused to extend his contract with the Kumasi-based football club.

The Brazilian footballer signed a two-year contract with Asante Kotoko in October 2020 and had since been a key member of the group.

He contributed massively to Asante Kotoko’s glory of winning the 2021-22 Ghana premier league.

Gama featured 48 times for the Porcupines in the league in two seasons and netted 5 goals and recorded 5 assists.

Brands and communication manager of the club, Obeng Nyarko on Tuesday 28th June 2022 escorted Fabio Gama to the Kumasi airport and departed Ghana on Wednesday.
