EXCLUSIVE: Asante Kotoko in talks to sign Karela United defender Kwadwo Addae to reinforce defense

Asante Kotoko who have had a very porous defense in the ongoing Premier League season is in talks to sign defender Kwadwo Addae.

The Karela United captain, 27, will have his contract with the Aiyinase-based side run out at the end of the season but the Porcupines are seeking his services in the January transfer window to booster their defense as they aim to defend the league title.

It’s widely reported that the defender won’t renew his contract with the cash-strapped Karela United side and will seek a new adventure elsewhere and the club would want to sell him to generate cash rather than letting him leave for free.

Addae has been impressed at the heart of the Pride and Passion’ defence this season and has attracted interest from other Premier League rivals including Hearts of Oak, Samartex and Gold Stars.

Addae is currently a member of the Ghana CHAN team that will compete at the 2023 CHAN tournament in Algeria in January.
