Ex-Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu reveals why he left the club

Former Asante Kotoko defender, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has opened up on why he declined a contract extension at the club.

The young centre-back parted ways with the club after the expiration of his contract in June this year.

Agyemang Badu believes he had done enough to merit a lucrative offer from the Ghanaian giants than what was presented to him by the management of the club.

The player was left out of the team’s training camp to Koforidua as the two parties were still locked negotiations.

Speaking in an interview, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu revealed that the contract offered to him was not reasonable.

“I didn’t want to continue with my career in Ghana that’s why I couldn’t register for Kotoko. As a young player, I can rate my performance 85% with my stint with Kotoko. Kotoko Offer given to me wasn’t reasonable that’s why I didn’t continue with Kotoko”, Agyeman-Badu told Ashh FM.

“I will wish all the current players of Kotoko the best of luck but I will miss ex Kotoko young chap Mathew Anim Cudjoe”, he added.
