EX-Asante Kotoko Management Member kicks against appointment of part-time Communication Director

Former Asante Kotoko management member, Solomon Ofosu Ware affectionately called ‘Chairman Solo’ has advised Nana Yaw Amponsah not to appoint a Communications Director who is already engaged.
According to him, he is not enthused about the continuous appointment of individuals to that position on part-time basis.

The club have been without an official spokesperson since the George Amoako-led management was disbanded. It would be recalled that Kennedy Boakye Ansah – who works with GBC headed the communications department.
Snippets of information suggest that award-winning sports caster Moses Antwi Benefo, known in media circles as PJ Mozey has been hugely tipped as the new Communications Director for the Porcupine Warriors.

Former management member, Solomon Ofosu Ware has kicked against the idea of appointing an active sports caster in a role that demands full attention.
“You can’t do any other job while working for Kotoko as a management member, I know what I’m saying because I’ve been there before. It’s very difficult to work at Kotoko’s Communications Department than to be a CEO” Chairman Solo told OTEC FM.
“P.J Mozay really qualifies for the position but the timing and nature of his job won’t permit him. He may have issues with the media if he decides to keep every news for the station and through that the management may collapse, we’ve experienced some before. I suggest he should be given a different role in the management” He added
“How can Moses Antwi Benefo ‘P.J Mozay’ promote a Kotoko game and at the same time be on the air as a host?” He quizzed.

Moses, until his recent appointment at Nhyira FM, was working with state enterprise, Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) in Takoradi.
