Evans Adomako scores as Asante Kotoko pip Kharis Sports Academy

Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko defeated Kharis Sports Academy in a friendly at the Adako Jachie training ground earlier this afternoon.
The friendly game was arranged as part of the club’s preparations for the second round of the ongoing Premier League season which commences this weekend.Head Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum handed starting roles to Kwame Baah, Christopher Nettey, Charles Owusu, Richard Agyemang, Andrews Appau, Richard Boadu, Justice Blay, Isaac Oppong, Evans Adomako, Sarfo Taylor and Samuel Boateng.
The Porcupines dominated most part of the first half but failed to convert the chances that came their way to end the first department goalless. Before the end of the first half, Isaac Oppong who had suffered a knock was replaced by Samuel Appiah. In the second period, the Porcupines continued pressing for a goal and their effort was awarded in the 78th-minute when Evans Adomako registered the first and the only goal in the game.The remaining minutes of the game saw no goals but wasn’t short of chances, Sarfo Taylor was denied a goal by brilliant goalkeeping.
Kotoko will start the second round of the season with a home game against Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Kharis Sports Academy is a club owned by former Kotoko striker and General Manager, Opoku Nti.
