Elmina Sharks name new leaders ahead of 2020-21 GPL season
1 min readGhana Premier league side Elmina Sharks have named new leaders for club going into the new Football season.
Defender Ishmael Hammond takes over from long time serving captain Daniel Obeng Crentsil who’s left Ghana for trials outside.
The 27 year old joined the club from fellow Premiership side Medeama SC in 2016 and has been instrumental in the success of the club combining defensive duties with midfield battle.
The club has further appointed Emmanuel Addingtonad the deputy captain of the side, he replaces Samuel Arthur who was deputy Captain of the side beofre the Ghana FA canceled the league due to COVID-19.
It is unclear why Samuel Arthur “Wachoo” has been left of the leadership role of the club, however indiders within the club maintains he made comments that did not go down well with the coach of the side Yaw Acheampong.
Elmina Sharks are preparing for the 2020/2021 season having seen the last two competitions canceled due to various reasons.
