Ghana Premier League outfit Eleven Wonders have confirmed the appointment of Yaw Acheampong as their new head coach for the upcoming season.
The position became vacant at the end of the 2020/21 football season when young trainer Ignatius Osei-Fosu left for Medeama SC.
Acheampong, 47, has been performing the technical duties since the club started their pre-season activities ahead of the commencement of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
The Techiman-based club on Saturday evening announced signing a one-year deal with Yaw Acheampong – who worked with Elmina Sharks and Medeama SC last season.
Acheampong was the head coach of Sharks but left and joined Medeama as assistant trainer to Yaw Preko
However, the two were relieved of their duties after the season due to poor performance.
Eleven Wonders survived relegation last season finishing 12th at the end of the season with 42 points and also suffered a round 32 elimination from the FA Cup.
They will be hoping for an improved performance when the Ghana Premier League commences on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Eleven Wonders will play as host to AshantiGold on match-day 1 at the Nana Ameyaw Park.
