Kotoko reach agreement with Dawuni Yahaya, player set to undergo medical on Monday

Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with defender Yahaya Dawuni’s club in the ongoing transfer window.

Yahaya, 19, will join the Porcupine Warriors from Division One League side Susubiribi FC.

The bulky center-back is expected to have his medicals on Monday before he joins his new teammates for pre-season on Tuesday.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum hopes to strengthen the defense of his side with the acquisition of Yahaya after reportedly securing the services of Berekum Chelsea central defender Henry Ansu.

He was part of the Black Meteors squad that failed to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Kotoko are scheduled to commence their pre-season training on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Beposo in the Ashanti Region.
