Burkina Faso beat Ghana to book 2023 U17 AFCON final with Nigeria

Burkina Faso denied Ghana a place in the final as they beat them 1-0 in the semis.

The game played at the Cape Coast Stadium was a close contest but it was Burkina Faso that came up tops.;

After a goalless first half, it was Burkina Faso that got the all important goal in the second half.

Captain for Ghana, Collins Agyemang’s clumsy challenge on Burkina Faso’s Camara resulted in a penalty.

Camara stepped up and converted the ball beautifully into the net to make it 1-0 and that proved to be the winner.

The win means Burkina Faso will face Nigeria in the final and Ghana will battle Côte d’Ivoire for third place.

Ghana has also missed out on a place in the 2023 U17 AFCON in Algeria
