Bukom Wins Maiden Greater Accra Table Soccer Championship
1 min readBukom defeated Weija(2:0) in the grand finale of the Greater Accra Regional Table Soccer Championship held in Bukom on Saturday, July 12 to be crowned champions of the maiden edition of the GARTSA CUP.
The tournament which was put together by the Greater Accra Regional Table Soccer Association saw eight (8) communities compete for the crown.
Group A saw communities like Weija, Jamestown, Bastoona and Mamprobi battle it out with Weija and Jamestown qualifying to the semi-finals of the competition.
Bukom and Ashaiman qualified from Group B with Banana Inn and Labadi exiting in the group stage.
Bukom saw off rivals Jamestown in the semi-finals by 8:2 with Weija beating Ashaiman after two rounds to set off a classy final.
Youngster Richard Comodor and Peter Lartey ensured that the main trophy remained in Bukom after seeing off Banana Inn, Ashaiman and Labadi in the group stages.
Richard Comodor was adjudged the most valuable player as Jacob Koomson took home the top scorer plaque.
