Brazilian star Fabio Gama arrives in Ghana to begin Asante Kotoko career

Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama Dos Santos has arrived in Ghana to begin his Asante Kotoko adventure.

The skilful midfielder joined the Porcupines as a free agent on a two-year deal.

The 28-year old touched down on Monday, November 16 and will join his teammates in the coming days at the Adako Jachie training complex in Kumasi.

The former Brazilian youth international is expected to strengthen the midfield of the Porcupines ahead of their participation in next season’s CAF Champions League and the ongoing Ghana premier league which started last weekend.

Gama arrived in the country with his wife and his son and was met at the airport by Nana Yaw Amponsah and Dentaa Amoateng. He will be introduced to the technical team and the entire playing body to familiarize himself with his new teammates.

Asante Kotoko have included the Brazilain in the registered players for next season’s domestic and continental championships.

Fabio Gama will be wearing iconic no.10 shirt at the club and is expected to play a part in Asante Kotoko’s 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League matchday 2 game against Berekum Chelsea.

The number 10 jersey is probably the most coveted shirt number in world football thanks to the list of honorable players who have donned it.
