Ghanaian forward, Brandon Thomas-Asante was on target as West Bromwich Albion earned an important 1-0 win over Norwich City at The Hawthorns on Boxing Day.
A sell-out crowd watched the Baggies grab all three Sky Bet Championship points thanks to Asante’s second-half goal.
He managed to find the breakthrough just five minutes into the second period – Grady Diangana knocking Wallace’s ball back, and Thomas-Asante poking home, scoring his 7th goal of the season.

Asante’s 50th minute strike proved to be decisive – Albion seeing the game out to claim the victory and stay fifth in the table.
Black Stars coach Chris Hughton has named the English-born Ghanaian in his 55-man provisional Ghana squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Ivory Coast early next year.
Asante will be hoping to make the final squad as the Black Stars begin pre-tournament camping on Sunday, December 31, 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
