‘Blame Nana Yaw Amponsah who feels big to call me for Hearts of Oak move’ — Samuel Inkoom tells Kotoko fans

Former Black Stars defender Samuel Inkoom has sent ‘coded’ message in reaction to his proposed free transfer to Hearts of Oak.The 32-year-old commenced training with the Phobians on Tuesday morning with hopes of securing a deal after the trial period.

Should the deal materialise, Inkoom will become the second Black Stars player after Sulley Muntari to pitch camp with the Ghanaian Champions.Fans of his former club, Asante Kotoko have reacted to his shocking decision to feature for Hearts of Oak instead of the Kumasi-based club.

However, the former FC Basel right-back in an interview with Onua TV disclosed that Asante Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah feels big to contact him after he had expressed interest of returning to the Porcupine Warriors to relaunch his football careerr.

“Don’t blame me for my proposed Hearts of Oak move, Asante Kotoko CEO feels big to call me,” Inkoom told Onua TV/FM“Asante Kotoko fans should blame their CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah not me” he added.

Inkoom left the shores of Ghana in 2009 to pursue his career in Europe after spending just a season at Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko.In a journeyman career, the right-back has played for teams based in 9 different countries, namely Switzerland, Ukraine, France, Greece, United States of America, Portugal, Turkey, Bulgaria and Georgia.

He has been unattached since January after parting ways with Georgian top-flight league outfit Torpedo Kutaisi.Inkoom has capped 44 times for the Black Stars of Ghana with a goal to his credit.
