After a long lay-off due to a career threatening injury, Black Stars midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyere is finally back to the field fully fit and strong.

The offensive midfielder came on as a substitute in their 4-1 triumph over Trier and made his presence felt with a great display.

Daniel Kofi Kyere was out for 3 years and 2 months with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. But the 30-year-old player returned onto the pitch for Freiburg U-23 in their 4-1 home win over Trier in the German Regional Amateur League.

He announced his return with an impressive output providing assist that brought the fourth goal for his team.

The player expressed total happiness for the opportunity to lace his boot again for action after a long period on the fringes.

It is a major boost to the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars who are gearing up for their fifth FIFA World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico.

With the current uncertainty surrounding star boy Mohammed Kudus who might undergo a surgery following his fresh injury, Kofi Kyere will give the Black Stars managers options in their selection in the midfield.
