Bibiani GoldStars part ways with coach Frimpong Manso after defeat to JS Kabylie in CAF Champions League

Reigning Ghana Premier League champions, Bibiani Gold Stars, have parted company with head coach, Stephen Frimpong Manso.
This was after the Miners 2-0 first-leg defeat to Algerian giants JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League preliminary round the Accra Sports Stadium last Saturday.
Manso, a former Kotoko defender, took charge of Gold Stars two seasons ago and guided them to an historic maiden league title last season.
He began the current campaign on a bright note, following a 2-1 win over Bechem United on Matchday 1.
However, the momentum faltered against JS Kabylie, leaving the club with a mountain to climb in the return leg in Algeria this weekend.
Manso also led the side to lift the GHALCA Top 4 Cup before the start of the 2025/26 football season.
Goldstars are expected to name a replacement in the coming days.
