Berekum Chelsea announce former Hearts Of Oak player Hesse Odamten as the club’s new Head Coach
Michael Hesse Odamten has been appointed as the new head coach of Berekum Chelsea ahead of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.
The experienced trainer penned down a three-year deal with the Bibiries.
The former Hearts Of Oak player will be assisted at the dugout by Joseph Asare Bediako – who steered the affairs of the club during the cancelled 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season.
Hesse-Odamtten, who was close to joining Hearts Of Oak as assistant trainer, is expected to come to the table with a wealth of experience including a CAF license A certificate to support the technical team of Berekum Chelsea.
He was a coordinator of Aspire Dream Academy in Qatar, a former player of Africa Sports of Ivory Coast and Dragons of Benin.
As a brave defender during his heydays, Hesse-Odamtten is expected to help strengthen the defensive unit of the side.
The 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to start November 13, and Hesse Odamten’s first game will be an away encounter with Legon Cities in Accra.
