Augustine Okrah is the best player in Ghana – Mariano Barreto

Asante Kotoko head coach, Mariano Barreto has asserted that winger Augustine Okrah is the best player in the ongoing Ghana League Premier.

The former Smouha SC playmaker has scintillating following the arrival of the Portuguese trainer.

He was very key in the Porcupine’s last three games before the Olympics stalemate on Friday, providing two assists.

Barreto maintained that although Brazilian import Fabio Gama has won the hearts of many people, Okrah is the best in the local scene and among the best in the whole of Africa.

“Everybody is talking about Fabio Gama but one of the best players in the Ghana Premier League, his name is Augustine Okrah,” Barreto stated after Kotoko draw with Olympics on Friday

“He is not only the best in Ghana but among the best in the whole of Africa.”He added.

Okrah missed the game yesterday (Friday) through an injury he sustained at training, but he is expected to feature in the upcoming game against Medeama in Obuasi.
