Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold has boosted their defensive department with the acquisition of former Asante Kotoko defender Empem Dacosta.
The move by the Miners is to strengthen their squad ahead of their participation in next season’s Caf Confederation Cup campaign.
The 1997 Caf Champions League finalist completed the signing of the hardworking defender on Wednesday after fruitful negotiations.
Empem Dacosta parted ways with the Porcupine Warriors last week after Coach Maxwell Konadu told him to find a new club.
Ashanti Gold has suffered several player exoduses in the ongoing transfer window and Dacosta’s inclusion is in the right direction.
Dacosta has had stints with Medeama and Karela United.
