Accra Hearts Of Oak have appointed Asare Bediako as the assistant coach of the side ahead of the 2020-21 football season, according to Oyerepa FM.
He comes in to assist Edward Nii Odoom, who is the head coach of the Rainbow Club.
Bediako – who was at the helm of affairs for Berekum Chelsea in the truncated league – resigned from his position after Hesse Odamten was appointed as head coach by the Bibiries.
He rejected the club’s decision to make him an assistant coach.
Hearts Of Oak have not had an assistant trainer since last year and Bediako will be expected to help Odoom with his enormous experience.
Asare Bediako won one NASCO coach of the month award in the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League after he led Berekum Chelsea to a sensational unbeaten run in six games, which included wins against heavyweights Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold.
The Ghanaian top-flight is scheduled to start November 14, 2020, and Hearts will play as guests to Aduana Stars.
