Asantehene supports Ampem Darkoa Ladies with GH¢50,000 for Africa campaign

Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC on Wednesday paid a visit to the ruler and Paramount King of the Ashanti Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The team which included the technical team and the Management team presented their 2021/22 Ghana Women’s Premier League title to him at the Menhyia Palace where they solicited for his support as they prepare for Africa.

The ‘Nanamma’ lass will be playing in next season’s TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League after clinching the 2021/22 Women’s Premier League having beaten sworn rivals Hasaacas Ladies FC on penalties at the Accra Sports Stadium last month.

His Majesty supported the team with sum amount of GH¢ 50,000 for their campaign in Africa.

Otumfuo again applauded the team for winning the double.

The Techiman based ‘Nanamma’ outfit ended the 2021/22 League season as winners of the Women’s FA Cup following a 1-0 victory against Hasaacas Ladies FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last weekend.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies has already begun preparation for their Africa campaign where they lashed Togo Female national team 3-0 few days ago in Togo.
