Asante Kotoko’s Porcupine Tertiary announce boycott of remaining Ghana Premier League games

Porcupine Tertiary, the ever-present Asante Kotoko supporters wing, has decided to boycott the remaining Ghana Premier League matches.
The decision was made by the supporters group in response to an alleged assault on their head George Forson during Asante Kotoko’s thrilling Week 21 match against King Faisal on Wednesday night.
Recent reports have suggested that Porcupine Tertiary is responsible for a number of social media campaigns aimed at undermining the club’s efforts to win the Ghana Premier League this year.
However, the group has disassociated itself from the ongoing power struggle inside the top hierarchy in a press release.
Porcupine Tertiary further confirmed their decision to boycott the remaining premier league games to protect lives.
“The Executive body of the group in consultation with the members have agreed to not attend the remainder of the games until it is safe to do so as we do not want to risk the lives of any member of Porcupine Tertiary.
“if somebody intends to harm you or your property or knows that these are the kind of dangers that would scarify or blackjack any reasonable person, they are guilty of a felony.
“Lives are at stake and hence our decision to boycott the games left,” part of the statement read.
Below is the full official statement by the Porcupine Tertiary.

Kotoko currently sit fourth on the Ghana Premier League table with 39 points, level on points with Hearts of Oak and five points behind leaders Aduana Stars after 25 games.
