Asante Kotoko midfielder Mudasiru Salifu is on the verge of joining a Turkish team, although the specific club involved has not been disclosed yet.
According to Oyerepa Sports, the transfer of the talented midfielder, who previously played for Al-Batin FC and FC Sheriff, is expected to be finalized and officially announced soon after successful negotiations.
The deal is believed to be worth $400,000, and Salifu is said to be close to completing the move.
In his previous stints, Salifu featured for Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol on loan, where he made 21 appearances across various competitions, including the Moldovan League, UEFA Champions League qualifications, UEFA Europa League playoffs, and Europa League group stages.
Later, Salifu played 15 matches for Al-Batin on loan from Kotoko. Unfortunately, Al-Batin, managed by former Asante Kotoko coach Zdravko Logarusic, faced relegation and finished at the bottom of the league.
