1 min readAsante Kotoko has handed former Real Valladolid youth player Victor Asamoah a one-week trial.
The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward, recommended by club legend Sarfo Gyamfi, has the chance to demonstrate his abilities and potential fit for the team’s goals and the coach’s plan for the new season.
Asamoah, who played alongside Mohammed Salisu in the African Talent group before Salisu moved to Spain in 2018, will be assessed by the weekend to determine if he will be signed.
Following a sixth-place finish last season, Asante Kotoko is looking to rebuild their squad by exploring new talent for the upcoming season.
Asamoah has already started training with the team at the Adako Jachie Training Ground, where they began pre-season preparations after winning the Democracy Cup against Hearts of Oak.
Eager to secure a permanent contract, the former CD Bupolsa player aims to make a strong impression during his trial.
