Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim earns late Black Stars call up

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim has been handed late invitation to the Black Stars for four-nation tournament in Japan.

Danlad has replaced Richard Ofori who is out of the team after aggravating his hamstring injury while at training.

Ofori wss part of the Black Stars squad the defeated Madagascar in the opening game of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cape Coast last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars have landed in Central African Republic for the second game of the qualifiers on June 5 without Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo due to injury.

Ghana after playing Central African Republic will travel to Japan for a four-nation tournament against Chile, Tunisia and the host country from 10-14, 2022.

The tournament will serve as preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after beating Nigeria in the final playoff round.
