Asante Kotoko confirm exit of Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama

Reigning Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama has left the club.

The Porcupine Warriors on Thursday afternoon announced on it’s social media handles.

“Fabio Gama leaves Asante Kotoko after the expiration of his contract. Fabio informed Management at the end of the season of his desire to explore other opportunities elsewhere after two successful season with the Club.”

The attacking midfielder after exhausting his contract with the Ghanaian champions refused to extend his contract with the Kumasi-based football club.

The Brazilian footballer signed a two-year contract with Asante Kotoko in October 2020 and had since been a key member of the group.

He contributed massively to Asante Kotoko’s glory of winning the 2021-22 Ghana premier league.

Gama featured 48 times for the Porcupines in the league in two seasons and netted 5 goals and recorded 5 assists.
