Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto back from Portugal ahead of Aduana Stars clash

1 min read

Asante Kotoko head coach Mariano Barreto has returned from Portugal ahead of his team’s match-day 27 Ghana Premier League encounter against Aduana Stars.

The Portuguese gaffer travelled to his native country to renew his UEFA Pro coaching license.

While away compatriot, Pedro Manuel took charge of the team and led training sessions for the all-important game.

Barreto will take over as the Porcupine Warriors travel to Dormaa for the crucial encounter with the Fire Boys.

The Kumasi-based giants will be chasing their first win in three games after back to back draws in the league.

Asante Kotoko relinquished the top spot to rivals Hearts of Oak last week following a 1-1 draw with WAFA.

The former Black Stars coach has been at the helm since the start of the second round, winning five games, drawing two and losing a game.
