Andrews Appau close to joining Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko are set to complete the signing of a young Central defender Andrews Appau to augment their squad ahead of the upcoming 2020-21 season.
Appau, who plays for First Division side Bofoakwa Tano is close to completing a deal to the Porcupine Warriors, according to head coach of the side Mohammed Ibrahim.
Speaking to Nimde3 FM Total Sports, Ibrahim revealed the deal is almost done.
“”Our Center back Appau Andrews has started his medicals at Asante Kotoko and I can say it’s 90% certain that he will join Asante Kotoko soon, ” Mohammed Ibrahim, Bofoakwa Tano FC Head coach said on Nimde3 FM Total Sports Show.
Asante Kotoko are expected to announce the capture of the 18-year-old as their ninth signing for upcoming season in the coming hours.
Per our sources, the highly-rated centre-back is done with the club’s medical which was successful.
Appau was among the players invited by Coach Karim Zito for Ghana U20 camping last month.
Asante Kotoko have already signed Kwame Opoku, Razak Abalora, Yusif Mubarik, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Abdul Latif Anabila, Patrick Asmah, Emmanuel Sarkodie and Evans Adomako Wiredu.
