Inaki, born to Ghanaian parents has only represented Spain once in a friendly against Bosnia in 2016 and has been overlooked by the National teams coaches.
An attempt by Ghana to convince him to the black star always turned down by the striker who currently holds an enviable record of playing (203) consecutive for Atletico Bilbao.
“Am grateful to where I grew and became who I am.Ghana tried to convince me,but I was born in Spain in Bilbao .I won’t ever forget my family roots, but I feel Basque and can’t con anyone, I would be comfortable with Ghana, am sure. But I shouldn’t be there .I will always pick an opportunity to play for Spain.
Williams still remains one of the Bilbao longest serving player and more games playing consecutively.
“When my grandparents call me,I speak Twi .I admire and love Ghana, the culture, food and traditions. I wasn’t born or raised there,My culture is here.
