Defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has signed a new long-term contract with Asante Kotoko following the expiration of his initial deal, according to Opemsuo FM.
According to the report by the Manhyia-based radio station, Badu has penned down a five-year deal which will see him stay in Kumasi until 2025.
This comes as a big relief having signed the fresh deal on Monday, September 7, 2020, as his contract extension talks was a major talking point in the local media.
Badu, 24, joined the Porcupine Warriors from Division One League side Phar Rangers under the tutelage of Paa Kwesi Fabin in the 2017-18 season after an impressive performance in Ghana’s second-tier, featuring 23 times and picking 10 man-of-the-match gongs.
Badu was instrumental in the Kotoko team under Maxwell Konadu in the truncated season as he featured in most of the games.
