Ghana’s Black Stars remained in first place in Group E after a 1-1 draw away to Central African Republic (CAR) in their second qualifier for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The Black Stars took the lead in the 17th minute through Muhammed Kudus, but CAR equalized four minutes later through Karl Namnganda.
The draw takes leaders Black Stars’ points tally to four after two games played so far in the qualifying series while CAR are third on just a point.

Angola forced Madagascar to a 1-1 draw in the group’s other game, tying them on points with Ghana but trailing them on goals difference.
