AFCON 2023 Q: German-based Kingsley Schindler replaces ‘unfit’ Tariq Lamptey in Black Stars squad for Angola doubleheader

Kingsley Schindler has been selected to replace the injured Tariq Lamptey in the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola. Schindler, a German-born footballer who has not yet played for Ghana, joined the squad in Accra on Monday.
The matches are scheduled to take place in Kumasi and Luanda. Schindler currently plays for German Bundesliga team FC Köln.
Lamptey had been included in the 25-man squad but was forced to withdraw due to an injury.
Currently, 17 players are in camp, with the rest expected to arrive this morning ahead of the trip to Kumasi.
The players in camp include Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollacott, Alexander Djiku, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Andre Ayew, Joseph Painstil, Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru, and Edmund Addo.
