Access Bank partners Asante Kotoko on Census Project

Access Bank and Ghana’s top football club, Asante Kotoko SC, have reached a strategic partnership to introduce the first official collaborative Kotoko visa card in support of the club’s Census Project.
Access Bank joined the plethora of sponsorships/partnerships of the Porcupines in a two-year deal until 2024.
The bank replaces Fidelity Bank who had been official bankers of Asante Kotoko since 2011 before Nana Yaw Amponsah was appointed.
The club and the Access Bank on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 announced the deal at Manhyia Palace during presentation of the new Marcopolo bus to the owner of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Under the partnership, Access Bank will support the Porcupines’ Census Project which is aimed at mobilization data on the over 5 million club supporters worldwide with new and existing data gathered from the club’s records, to establish a support base for the club.
In a quest to drive a cash-lite economy and promote financial inclusion, Access Bank will in addition produce multipurpose membership cards that will also serve as visa cards to be used for payments across multiple channels.
During the short ceremony at Manhyia, Access presented a dummy membership card to Asantehene.

The Porcupines can use the Asante Kotoko visa card to make purchases, pay bills and remit money, while staying connected to their favorite team.
The cisa card has the Kotoko logo displayed at the back. These Visa card is recognized by the Bank of Ghana.
The Nigerian multinational commercial bank, owned by Access Bank Group sponsored the acquisition of the new 2021 Volvo Marcopolo B8R Bio-Safe Executive Coach of Asante Kotoko.
